Our adventure begins with a scenic drive from Podgorica to Shkodra, a historic city that bridges the cultures of Albania and Montenegro. We’ll explore Shkodra’s charming streets and learn about its rich history, before continuing on to Kosovo’s capital, Pristina. This lively city, known for its youthful energy and modern vibe, offers a perfect mix of old and new, with impressive landmarks, vibrant cafes, and a fascinating cultural scene. You’ll have time to explore Pristina’s highlights, including the National Library and the iconic Mother Teresa Square.

On the second day, we head to Prizren, one of Kosovo’s most beautiful and culturally rich cities. Known for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, Prizren offers a unique glimpse into the country’s diverse past. We’ll walk through its cobbled streets, visit the stunning Sinan Pasha Mosque, and enjoy the atmosphere of its lively bazaars. Itinerary

Day 1Podgorica-Shkodra-Pristina

Departure from Podgorica

Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Podgorica, Montenegro’s capital, towards Kosovo. Enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and countryside as we make our way toward Shkodra in Albania.

Shkodra – A City of History and Culture

Our first stop is Shkodra, a city that blends natural beauty with rich cultural history. Here, we will take a brief walking tour through the city, known for its role as an important cultural and religious center in the region. Highlights include the historic Rozafa Castle, perched above the town, offering panoramic views of the area. Learn about Shkodra’s diverse history, shaped by its strategic location near the border of Albania and Montenegro.

Pristina – The Heart of Kosovo

After our visit to Shkodra, we continue towards Pristina, the vibrant capital of Kosovo. The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, allowing us to see the changing landscapes as we approach the heart of Kosovo.

Upon arrival in Pristina, we will begin our exploration with a visit to the Newborn Monument, an iconic symbol of Kosovo’s independence, which is repainted annually on Kosovo’s Independence Day. Next, we will visit Mother Teresa Square, dedicated to the famous humanitarian and Nobel laureate. Here, you’ll learn more about Kosovo’s history and the significance of Pristina as the country’s capital.

We’ll also stop by the Kosovo National Library, a striking example of Brutalist architecture, home to many historical documents, some of which date back to the 15th century.

In the evening, enjoy free time to explore Pristina’s vibrant cafés, and local shops, or simply take a stroll through the city’s lively streets.

Day 2Pristina - Prizren - Podgorica

Prizren – Kosovo’s Cultural Capital

Next, we continue to Prizren, approximately 1.5 hours south of Pristina. Known for its Ottoman architecture and rich cultural heritage, Prizren is often considered Kosovo’s cultural capital.

Upon arrival, we’ll take a guided walking tour through the Old Town, exploring Prizren’s picturesque streets, where Ottoman and Albanian traditions come together. Highlights include the Sinan Pasha Mosque, an example of 17th-century Ottoman architecture, and the impressive Prizren Castle, which offers stunning views over the city and surrounding landscape.

We’ll also stroll through the Old Bazaar, a lively market filled with local crafts, handmade goods, and a mix of Albanian and Turkish influences. It’s a perfect place to pick up souvenirs or simply enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.
