From there, continue to Gjirokaster, another UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its impressive stone houses, medieval fortress, and rich cultural heritage. The route then passes through the picturesque town of Përmet before reaching Korçë, one of Albania’s most charming cultural centers.

Day 1Tirana - Berat - Gjirokaster

Your Balkan adventure begins in Tirana, Albania’s vibrant capital. After meeting your guide, we leave the city behind and travel south through picturesque countryside, passing rolling hills, olive groves, and traditional villages on our way to one of Albania’s most treasured UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Drive to Berat

After leaving Tirana behind, we continue our journey south through Albania’s beautiful countryside until we reach Berat, one of the country’s most historic and charming destinations. Known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” Berat is famous for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, traditional neighborhoods, and remarkable cultural heritage.

During our visit, we explore Berat Castle, a remarkable fortress that still has local residents living within its ancient walls. As we walk through its cobbled streets, we discover historic churches, traditional houses, and breathtaking views over the Osum River and the city’s iconic hillside homes.

Drive to Gjirokastër

In the afternoon, we continue our journey through southern Albania. The scenic drive takes us across valleys and mountain landscapes before arriving in the historic city of Gjirokastër.

Known as the “City of Stone,” Gjirokastër is another UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its distinctive slate-roofed houses and rich cultural heritage.

Visit Bënja Thermal Baths

Our first stop is Bënja Thermal Baths (Bënjat e Përmetit), one of Albania’s most beautiful natural attractions. Surrounded by unspoiled mountains, these naturally heated thermal springs have been appreciated for centuries thanks to their relaxing mineral-rich waters.

The iconic Ottoman stone bridge standing beside the thermal pools creates one of the country’s most photographed landscapes. Here, you’ll have time to admire the scenery, take memorable photos, or simply relax while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Explore Përmet

Next, we arrive in Përmet, a charming riverside town often referred to as Albania’s greenest destination. Famous for its hospitality, delicious traditional cuisine, and homemade gliko, Përmet offers visitors an authentic glimpse into Albanian culture.

You’ll have free time to explore the town center, enjoy a coffee beside the Vjosa River, or browse local shops selling regional products.

Drive to Korçë

Day 3Korce - Ohrid - Skopje

After breakfast, we leave Korçë and continue our journey toward North Macedonia. Along the way, we travel through beautiful mountain landscapes and peaceful countryside, enjoying the scenic views before reaching the historic lakeside city of Ohrid.

Explore Ohrid

Upon arrival, we begin exploring Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Jerusalem of the Balkans.” Thanks to its ancient churches, cultural importance, and stunning location beside Lake Ohrid, the city is one of the most remarkable destinations in the region.

During our visit, we will walk through the charming Old Town, where cobbled streets and traditional stone houses reveal centuries of history. We will then continue to Samuil Fortress, an impressive medieval stronghold offering panoramic views over the lake and surrounding mountains. Afterwards, we visit the famous Church of St. John at Kaneo, beautifully located above the water and known as one of the most photographed landmarks in North Macedonia.

Drive to Skopje

Later in the day, we continue our journey to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. The route takes us through scenic valleys and changing landscapes, offering a glimpse of the country’s natural beauty before arriving in the city.

Once we arrive, we begin discovering the highlights of Skopje. First, we visit the historic Stone Bridge, which connects the modern part of the city with the Old Bazaar area. From there, we continue to Macedonia Square, where the impressive Alexander the Great Statue stands as one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

In addition, we explore the Skopje Fortress, which provides excellent views of the capital, and visit Mother Teresa Square, dedicated to the famous humanitarian who was born in Skopje. Finally, we experience the city’s unique atmosphere, where Ottoman influences, historic monuments, and modern architecture exist side by side.

Day 4Skopje - Pristina - Prizren

After breakfast, we leave Skopje and cross into Kosovo. During the drive, we pass through rolling hills and small villages, allowing us to enjoy the peaceful landscapes of this part of the Balkans.

Our first stop is Pristina, Kosovo’s lively capital. Here, we discover a city that combines modern energy with important historical landmarks.

First, we visit the unique National Library of Kosovo, known for its unusual architectural style. Next, we continue to Mother Teresa Square, one of the city’s central meeting points. We also stop at the famous NEWBORN Monument, which has become a symbol of Kosovo’s independence.

After exploring the main attractions, you’ll have time to experience Pristina’s cafés, pedestrian streets, and vibrant local atmosphere.

Drive to Prizren

Afterwards, we continue our journey toward Prizren, a picturesque city surrounded by mountains and known as the cultural heart of Kosovo.

Day 5Prizren - Kruje - Tirana

After breakfast, we begin our final day by leaving Kosovo and returning to Albania. Along the way, we travel through beautiful landscapes before reaching the historic town of Krujë.

Explore Krujë

Krujë is one of Albania’s most important historical destinations and is closely connected with the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg. During the 15th century, the town became the center of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Empire.

During our visit, we explore Krujë Castle, where centuries of history are preserved within its ancient walls. Inside the castle area, we visit the Skanderbeg Museum, which presents the life and achievements of Albania’s legendary leader. Additionally, we explore the Ethnographic Museum, located in a traditional Ottoman-style house showcasing Albanian customs, architecture, and daily life.

Afterwards, we walk through Krujë’s famous Old Bazaar. Here, visitors can discover handmade crafts, traditional souvenirs, and local products created by skilled artisans who continue generations-old traditions.

Drive to Tirana

Finally, we continue toward Tirana, enjoying the last views of Albania’s countryside. As we arrive in the capital, your Balkan adventure comes to an end.
