We begin in Albania before heading to Ohrid in North Macedonia, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its stunning lake, ancient churches, and rich cultural history. Day 1Tirana • Ohrid • Skopje

Departure from Tirana
We begin our journey from Tirana, Albania’s vibrant capital, early in the morning. The drive takes us through the beautiful Albanian countryside before we reach Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its pristine lake and ancient churches, Ohrid is often referred to as the “Jerusalem of the Balkans.”

Explore Ohrid
In Ohrid, we will explore the Old Town with its cobbled streets, the impressive Samuil Fortress, and the Church of St. John at Kaneo perched above the lake. We’ll also take in the rich history of the town as we visit several churches, monasteries, and cultural landmarks.

Drive to Skopje
After a fulfilling day in Ohrid, we continue our journey to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Upon arrival, we will embark on a city tour to explore the vibrant mix of architectural styles and historical landmarks.

Explore Skopje
In Skopje, we’ll visit the iconic Stone Bridge, which connects the old and new parts of the city, and stroll around Macedonia Square, where we can see the Alexander the Great Statue. We’ll also explore the Skopje Fortress, offering stunning views of the city, and visit Mother Teresa Square. Skopje’s unique combination of modern monuments and Ottoman-era influences makes it a fascinating city to explore.

Day 2Skopje • Pristina • Prizren

Drive to Pristina
On Day 2, we begin our day in Skopje and head towards Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. The scenic drive takes us through rolling hills and charming villages before reaching Pristina, a city with a youthful energy and historical significance.

Explore Pristina
Upon arrival in Pristina, we will visit the National Library of Kosovo, renowned for its unusual architecture, and the Mother Teresa Square. We’ll also visit the Newborn Monument, which celebrates Kosovo’s independence. You’ll have time to explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere and rich mix of modern and traditional influences.

Drive to Prizren
In the afternoon, we continue our journey to Prizren, one of Kosovo’s most charming and picturesque towns.

Explore Prizren
Prizren is known for its Ottoman architecture and the stunning Prizren Fortress, which offers panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains. We will also visit the House of the Prizren League, a significant site in Kosovo’s independence history, and explore the old town’s cobbled streets, the Stone Bridge, and the vibrant Traditional Bazaar.

After a full day of exploration, we’ll overnight in Prizren, soaking in its historical charm.

Day 3Prizren • Shkodër • Lake Skadar • Shkodër

Return to Albania
After breakfast, we leave Prizren and cross back into Albania. Our journey continues toward Shkodër, one of Albania’s oldest cities and an important cultural center located between the Albanian Alps and Lake Skadar.

Explore Shkodër
Upon arrival in Shkodër, we visit the impressive Rozafa Castle, located on a hill overlooking the Buna and Drin Rivers. The fortress offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes and is connected to one of Albania’s most famous legends. We will also explore the city center, known for its elegant streets, cafés, artisan shops, and rich cultural atmosphere.

Discover Lake Skadar
In the afternoon, we continue to Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans and one of the region’s most beautiful natural areas. Shared between Albania and Montenegro, the lake is famous for its peaceful wetlands, traditional fishing villages, and abundant birdlife. Guests can choose an optional boat trip or kayaking experience to enjoy the lake from the water.

Return to Shkodër
After exploring the peaceful landscapes of Lake Skadar, we return to Shkodër for the evening. Enjoy free time to relax, discover local restaurants, and experience the welcoming atmosphere of this historic northern Albanian city.

Overnight in Shkodër
Spend the night in Shkodër before continuing the Balkan adventure into Montenegro’s spectacular mountain landscapes.

Day 4Shkodër • Black Lake • Tara River Bridge • Žabljak

Visit Black Lake

After breakfast, we leave Shkodër and continue to Black Lake (Crno Jezero), one of the most famous natural attractions in Montenegro. Surrounded by pine forests and towering mountains, the lake offers a peaceful setting to enjoy a relaxing walk and admire the spectacular scenery of Durmitor.

Discover Tara River Canyon
We continue to the impressive Tara River Canyon, one of Europe’s deepest canyons. From the famous Tara Bridge, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the emerald river below and the dramatic landscape surrounding the canyon.

Arrive in Žabljak
In the afternoon, we arrive in Žabljak, Montenegro’s highest mountain town and the gateway to Durmitor National Park. Surrounded by forests, peaks, and fresh mountain air, the town offers the perfect atmosphere to relax after a day of exploring Montenegro’s natural wonders.

Overnight in Žabljak
After a memorable day surrounded by mountains and incredible landscapes, enjoy a relaxing evening in Žabljak before continuing the Balkan journey.

Day 5Žabljak • Sarajevo

Drive to Sarajevo
After breakfast, we leave Žabljak and continue our journey toward Bosnia and Herzegovina. The scenic route takes us through mountain valleys, winding rivers, and beautiful countryside before reaching Sarajevo, one of the Balkans’ most fascinating capitals.

Explore Sarajevo
Upon arrival in Sarajevo, we begin exploring the city where East meets West. We will visit Baščaršija, the historic Ottoman bazaar, known for its traditional shops, cafés, and the famous Sebilj Fountain. The walking tour continues to the impressive Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, as well as the city’s Austro-Hungarian district, where different cultures and architectural styles come together.

Discover Sarajevo’s History
During our visit, we will see some of Sarajevo’s most important landmarks, including the Latin Bridge, famous as the site connected to the event that led to the First World War, and the beautiful Sarajevo City Hall (Vijećnica). The city’s unique mix of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian, and modern influences makes it one of Europe’s most culturally diverse destinations.

Free Time in Sarajevo
After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace. Taste traditional Bosnian dishes such as ćevapi or burek, visit local cafés, browse artisan shops, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this historic capital.

Day 6 Sarajevo • Kravica Waterfalls • Mostar

After breakfast, we leave Sarajevo and continue south through the beautiful landscapes of Herzegovina. The scenery changes from mountain forests to vineyards, rocky hills, and fertile river valleys as we travel toward some of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most impressive natural and cultural landmarks.

Visit Kravica Waterfalls
Our first stop is the spectacular Kravica Waterfalls, one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most beautiful natural attractions. Surrounded by lush greenery, the waterfalls create a stunning natural setting with crystal-clear pools and peaceful walking areas. Guests can enjoy the views, take memorable photos, or relax by the water.

Explore Mostar
We continue to Mostar, one of the Balkans’ most iconic cities, located along the emerald waters of the Neretva River. We will explore the historic Old Town, walk across the famous Old Bridge (Stari Most), and discover the city’s Ottoman heritage through its cobbled streets, traditional markets, and historic buildings.

Discover Mostar’s Landmarks
During our visit, we will also see the beautiful Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque, which offers panoramic views of the Old Bridge and the river below. If we are lucky, we may witness the traditional bridge diving ceremony, a unique custom that has become one of Mostar’s most famous traditions.

Located beneath dramatic cliffs at the source of the Buna River, the Blagaj Tekke is a historic Dervish monastery dating back to the Ottoman period. Surrounded by crystal-clear water, traditional architecture, and stunning natural scenery, it offers a unique combination of history, spirituality, and tranquility.

Drive to Kotor
Leaving Herzegovina behind, we continue toward Montenegro and the spectacular Bay of Kotor. The scenic coastal road offers breathtaking views of mountains, traditional villages, and the Adriatic coastline before arriving in one of Montenegro’s most beautiful destinations.

Explore Kotor
Upon arrival in Kotor, we discover its UNESCO-listed Old Town, surrounded by medieval walls and dramatic mountains. Wander through narrow stone streets, historic squares, and charming alleys while visiting landmarks such as St. Tryphon’s Cathedral and the ancient Venetian architecture that gives Kotor its unique character.

After breakfast, we leave Kotor and continue along Montenegro’s spectacular Adriatic coastline toward Budva, one of the country’s oldest and most famous seaside towns.

Surrounded by Venetian walls, Budva offers a charming mix of history, Mediterranean atmosphere, and beautiful coastal views. Explore its narrow streets, historic churches, lively squares, and cafés while learning about the city’s ancient origins and Venetian influence.

Visit Sveti Stefan
Our journey continues to Sveti Stefan, one of Montenegro’s most photographed landmarks. From the panoramic viewpoint, enjoy unforgettable views of the famous island village, surrounded by turquoise waters and beautiful beaches.

Return to Tirana
