Sarajevo’s fascinating history unfolds in its iconic old town, featuring Ottoman architecture, lively bazaars, and a multicultural atmosphere.

We delve deeper into Sarajevo, discovering the blend of influences that make this city so unique. Later, we head to Mostar, where the famous Stari Most bridge and charming Ottoman-era architecture await, offering a glimpse into the city’s rich past. We’ll then continue to Kotor, Montenegro, known for its medieval charm and stunning bay. Day 1 Tirana - Shkoder - Zabljak

Departure from Tirana

We begin our adventure in Tirana, Albania’s vibrant capital, in the morning. As we head north, enjoy scenic views of the Albanian countryside, passing through quaint towns and rolling hills. Along the way, the journey offers a glimpse of rural life in this picturesque region. Our first stop is Shkoder, one of Albania’s oldest cities, renowned for its rich history and proximity to Lake Shkoder.

Explore Shkoder

Upon arrival, we’ll visit Rozafa Castle, an ancient fortress perched above the city, offering breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. While exploring, you’ll hear the fascinating legend of Rozafa and witness the centuries-old architecture. Next, we’ll visit the Shkoder Historical Museum, housed in an Ottoman-era building. Here, you’ll gain insight into the city’s historical significance across the ages.

Afterward, take a leisurely stroll through the Pedestrian Zone, a lively area brimming with cafes and shops that offer a taste of local life. Enjoy some free time to explore or shop for souvenirs.

Drive to Zabljak

In the afternoon, we continue our adventure by driving toward Zabljak, a town nestled in the heart of Durmitor National Park in Montenegro. Known for its rugged mountains, pristine lakes, and rich wildlife, Zabljak is the perfect escape for nature lovers.

Overnight in Zabljak

Upon arrival in Zabljak, take some time to unwind and enjoy the tranquil mountain surroundings. In the evening, the rest of the day is free to relax and soak in the serene atmosphere before overnighting in this breathtaking mountain retreat.

Day 2Zabljak - Sarajevo

Explore Zabljak

We begin the day by exploring Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its dramatic mountain landscapes, pristine lakes, and dense forests. Our first stop is Black Lake (Crno Jezero), one of the most beautiful and peaceful spots in the park. Here, you can enjoy a tranquil walk around the lake and marvel at the breathtaking scenery.

Next, we’ll take a short hike through the park or visit the Durmitor National Park Visitor Center. At the center, you’ll learn about the park’s rich biodiversity and its importance in environmental preservation.

Drive to Sarajevo

After exploring Zabljak, we continue our journey towards Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The scenic drive takes us through lush valleys and picturesque hills, offering a striking contrast to the rugged mountains we’ve just left behind. You’ll be treated to breathtaking views as we make our way to the city.

Overnight in Sarajevo

Upon arrival in Sarajevo, spend the evening soaking in the city’s unique blend of Eastern and Western influences. The Baščaršija district, with its Ottoman-era markets and cobbled streets, is the perfect spot for an evening stroll.

Day 3Sarajevo - Kotor

Explore Sarajevo

We start our day with a guided tour of Sarajevo, a city rich in history and multicultural heritage. First, we visit Baščaršija, the Old Bazaar, which is the heart of the city’s Ottoman legacy. Here, you can browse traditional handicrafts and soak in the lively local atmosphere. We’ll also stop at Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, a stunning example of Ottoman architecture, and Latin Bridge, the site where the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand ignited World War I.

Later, we’ll visit the Sarajevo Tunnel Museum, a significant landmark from the Bosnian War, where you’ll learn about the city’s incredible resilience during the siege.

Drive to Mostar

In the afternoon, we head to Mostar, a city famous for its iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge) and beautiful Ottoman-era architecture. As you stroll through the charming streets, take in the stunning view of the Neretva River flowing beneath the bridge. Overnight in Kotor

Day 4Kotor - Budva - Tirana

We begin our final day with a tour of Kotor’s Old Town, wandering through its maze of cobbled streets, ancient churches, and lively squares. We’ll visit St. Tryphon Cathedral, a stunning example of Romanesque architecture, before taking a climb up to Kotor Fortress.
