This 7-day West Balkans Tour takes you through some of the most captivating destinations in the Balkans. Starting in Tirana, Albania, you’ll visit the UNESCO-listed town of Berat before moving on to Gjirokastër, where you’ll spend the night.

On day three, the journey continues with stops in Ohrid and Skopje, North Macedonia, where you’ll stay overnight. Day four takes you to Pristina, Kosovo, and then on to Prizren, where you’ll spend the night.

The following day, you’ll explore the city of Shkodra before heading to the historic Stari Bar and the stunning coastal town of Kotor, Montenegro. On the final day, you’ll visit Budva and then return to Tirana for drop-off.

Day 1Tirana - Berat - Gjirokaster

Departure from Tirana
We begin our journey in the early morning, leaving Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania. After a scenic drive through Albania’s countryside, we make our way to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Known as the “City of a Thousand Windows,” Berat’s unique Ottoman architecture is a sight to behold.

Explore Berat
Upon arrival, we visit Berat Castle, which sits atop a hill offering panoramic views of the town and the Osum River. We’ll also explore the Onufri Museum, known for its collection of religious iconography, and take a walk through the Mangalem Quarter, with its cobbled streets and whitewashed houses.

Drive to Gjirokastër
After our exploration of Berat, we head towards Gjirokastër, another UNESCO-listed gem. This town, also known as the “City of Stone,” boasts well-preserved Ottoman architecture and a rich history.

Day 2Gjirokaster - Permet - Pogradec

We begin our second day with a visit to the famous Gjirokastër Castle, perched high above the town, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. Afterward, we explore the Old Bazaar, filled with traditional stone houses and quaint shops, where you can soak in the town’s historical atmosphere.

Drive to Permet

Continue to Pogradec

We’ll explore the Church of St. John at Kaneo and enjoy stunning views of the lake

Travel to Skopje
After exploring Ohrid, we continue our journey to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Skopje is a city where history and modernity blend seamlessly. You’ll have time to explore its landmarks, including the Stone Bridge, the Old Bazaar, and the large statue of Alexander the Great in Macedonia Square.

Day 4Skopje - Pristina - Prizren

Explore Skopje
We start the day with a city tour of Skopje. Visit the old Ottoman-era bazaar, explore the impressive Kale Fortress, and stroll across the historic Stone Bridge that connects the old and new parts of the city.

Continue to Prizren
