From Saranda or Corfu to Ohrid, Tirana, Gjirokaster in 4 Days tour

Start your adventure in Saranda, where we will set off for the UNESCO World Heritage city of Gjirokaster. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the Gjirokaster Castle, one of the most iconic landmarks in Albania. With breathtaking views over the valley, the castle offers a glimpse into the region’s past. Next, we’ll wander through the Old Bazaar, filled with charming shops and cafés, before exploring the Skenduli House, a traditional Ottoman-era home that showcases local architecture and culture.

After our exploration of Gjirokaster, we’ll continue to Përmet, a small town known for its natural beauty. Here, you can relax in the thermal baths, famous for their healing properties, and enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear river. The stunning landscapes of Përmet will provide the perfect backdrop for a day of relaxation and rejuvenation.

On day two, we head to the town of Korça, known for its charming atmosphere and cultural richness. You’ll have the opportunity to explore its picturesque streets, enjoy local cafes, and discover its many museums and galleries. Afterward, we’ll make our way to Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage city located along the shores of Ohrid Lake in North Macedonia. This ancient city, often called the “Jerusalem of the Balkans,” is known for its stunning churches and monasteries, many of which date back to the 9th century. Spend the night in Ohrid, where you can unwind by the lake and enjoy the peaceful charm of this beautiful city.

After breakfast, we’ll leave the charming city of Ohrid and travel to Tirana, the vibrant capital of Albania. Upon arrival, you’ll have the chance to explore the heart of the city, starting with Skanderbeg Square, the central hub surrounded by important historical buildings. Visit the National History Museum to gain insight into Albania’s fascinating past, and admire the beautiful Et’hem Bey Mosque, an architectural gem.

Stroll through the lively streets, filled with colorful buildings and bustling markets, capturing the energetic atmosphere of the city. You’ll have free time to explore Tirana at your own pace, visiting local shops, cafés, and parks. The rest of the day will be spent discovering the cultural blend of the city before settling in for an overnight stay in Tirana, where you can relax and reflect on your journey so far.

On the last day of our tour, we’ll visit Berat, another UNESCO World Heritage site that’s famous for its stunning Ottoman architecture and picturesque setting. Wander through the narrow streets of the Mangalem Neighborhood, known for its well-preserved houses and cobblestone paths. Visit Berat Castle, which offers panoramic views of the town and the surrounding landscape.

Next, we’ll head to the Ethnographic Museum to learn more about the history and culture of this ancient town. After a full day of exploring Berat’s beauty and history, we’ll make our way back to Saranda, where the tour concludes.
