 Verified A great hiking experience with all the perks in minimal time
If you're short on time, this tour covers everything, but doesn't feel rushed, though our guide Daniel is a fast walker lol. Well timed and well executed, you really just need to show up with a good attitude and a willingness to hike. We booked a custom 8-day private tour with Go As Local covering Croatia, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Albania, and it exceeded every expectation. Our guide, Engjell, was outstanding — knowledgeable, easygoing, and an excellent driver through demanding mountain roads and long transfer days. Our itinerary was ambitious: Kotor, Ostrog Monastery, Lovćen, Peja, Rugova Gorge, Dečani Monastery, Ohrid, Bigorski Monastery, Berat, and Tirana, with a stop at Bunk'Art 2 and a day trip to Krujë. Engjell handled the pace effortlessly and never made us feel rushed, even on the longest days. Behind the scenes, Andi and the Go As Local team were responsive and flexible through all our planning requests, and thoughtful about matching hotels to what we wanted. The class was informative and professional but still lighthearted and fun and the well equipped classroom enviroment was very comfortable and relaxed as was the wonderful courtyard to enjoy the fruits of our labours, complete with pear and fig trees. I would defintely reccomend and do again when I visit this wonderful country again!
