My first experience with Go As Local and I will definitely approach them for tour guides in the Balkans in the future. I wanted to arrange a bespoke 1 day tour to make more of a day of our travel from the Albanian Riviera back to Tirana, taking in the sights along the way and skipping the same road we'd taken on our airport transfer. Being able to WhatsApp message Go As Local to agree and arrange our bespoke tour was incredibly convenient, to discuss the options and get their advice too really made the day perfect for us. They provided a lot of information for free in the early messages as we designed our bespoke tour. Communication with Go As Local via WhatsApp worked really well, we were provided with the details of our guide the day before, and generally they were very responsive to questions and gave very good customer service. The price was also very reasonable. We had a wonderful day with our Go As Local guide Julji. He was so friendly and easy to spend the day around. He was knowledgeable, candid, and we learned so much from him. These kinds of tours, while the sights and the stops are informative, for me it's just as much about spending a day with a local who is happy to answer questions about life and historical context of the country we're exploring, to really get to know the real country. Julji was superb, we appreciated his style and casual style very much. He was also very punctual, courteous when we wanted to stop, made some great recommendations for our onward trip, and gave us some great food options too. We felt very comfortable with him, and we'll cherish our day exploring the mountains and history of Albania together 🙏🏻

 Verified Sindi was an amazing cooking teacher who gave us great insight into traditional Albanian food. Me my mum and sister had an amazing time, it's good fun for all the family (all ages can be included in the experience) and had an even better time meeting the other guests and finding out about their lives. The Raki punishments were a great addition and made the experience even more authentic. I would recommend this experience for anyone inquisitive enough about traditional Albanian cuisine and looking for something the whole family can do.
