 -excellent communication while setting up the tour
 -prompt arrival 
 -easygoing conversation 
 -highly knowledgeable about Albania, Kosovo, and the Balkans; enthusiastic about history; and insightful about the future of Albania
 -tour was in clear, excellent English 
 -very clean, safe car and safe driving on the tour (there was both a guide and a driver which made the whole experience more relaxed)
 -Prizren is lovely town with beautiful views and an interesting religious and political history 
 
 What really made the tour enjoyable was Andi’s small considerations - I was recovering from a broken ankle and there was a long, steep incline to the castle. Andi matched my slower pace, stopping along the way to point out sights and history. Passports aren’t generally stamped at the border but he asked if I’d like him to request a stamp as souvenir. He easily accommodated my request to stop by a post office. Knowing I had been to Kruje and Berat with another company that didn’t supply much information, he seamlessly added information about both cities into the Prizren tour, as much of the Balkans’ history is linked.
 
 I highly recommend the Prizren tour, Go as Local in general, and Andi in particular. A highly professional company which made every aspect of the trip enjoyable.

During this Hiking Tour of Korabi Mountain, our overnight stays will be in a Traditional Guesthouse in Peshkopia & Radomira. It is the last village before the Korabi mountain trail starts.

Accommodation is based on shared triple and quadruple rooms.

For Single Room, there is an extra supplement of 20 euro/night

What to Expect

This 3 Day Tour of Korabi Mountain is based mainly on Hiking and Driving. Walking toward the Korabi Summit, we pass through different sceneries where water is mostly provided from natural water streams.

The path has a normal slope and makes the journey enjoyable for anyone in normal fit conditions.

First Day is mainly based on driving and visiting different attractions ofthe region of Dibra. Around 6 hours of Driving in Total
Visit in the Traditional Village of Rabdisht, characteristic for its unique architecture.
The Total length of the Trail (round trip) is 16.3 Km. It has a maximum elevation of 1490 m
Moderate Level of Technical Difficulty. The trail is long but not risky.
The Price is calculated on shared triple and quadruple. On request Private Double room may be arranged on a extra charge.

Itinerary

Day 1Tirana - Rabdisht - Peshkopia

Leaving Tirana we will drive toward the deep North East of Albania. We will head toward Peshkopia, the biggest city before the majestic Korabi Natural Park.
Visit of the Old City of Peshkopia and the village of Kastriot where the Albanian National Hero from.
Traditional Lunch near Peshkopia.
Visit & Hike around Rabdisht, a unique village with tremendous stone architecture. Visit to the Thermal Waters of Dibra. A relaxing treatment before we start!

Day 2Peshkopi - Korabi Summit - Radomira

After breakfast at the Guesthouse, we will hike toward the Summit of Korab. Korab is the highest peak in Albania and one of the 4 highest peaks of the Balkans. Reaching the Summit from Radomira, we need to follow a trail of 16.3 KM (Round Trip).
The Maximum Elevation Gain is 1490 m.
Picnic Lunch near “Fusha e Korabit” the place where Albanian emigrants started their journey toward the US at the end of the 19th century.
The Korabi National Park is characterized by stunning scenery and various types of flowers and herbal teas. Walking an average speed it will take us 5 Hours in Uphill and 3 Downhill to Radomira.

Day 3Radomira - Liqeni i Zi - Tirana

After breakfast, the next hike will be toward the “Liqeni i Zi” around 4 Km from the Village in a loop trip.

The Bags / Luggage Situation

We highly recommend packing only the most necessary items on a backpack that you will need to carry and leaving the rest of the bags either with us or at the Hotel. We can safely store it for you and deliver it back in Tirana. Please inform us ahead if you will need to leave bags with us.

The Water Situation

Along the trip, we will have access to fresh spring water. If you know from the past that you have a sensitive stomach we recommend bringing bottled water to avoid any Upset Stomach symptoms. If you have a history of that, bringing some medicine might come in handy.

Feel free to ask the guide where you can buy bottled water.
